Com o Kid3, um editor de etiquetas de áudio, você pode editar as etiquetas no MP3, Ogg/Vorbis, DSF, FLAC, Opus, MPC, APE, MP4/AAC, MP2, Speex, TrueAudio, WavPack, WMA, WAV, AIFF e arquivos tracker.
Todos os quadros nas etiquetas ID3 de arquivos MP3 podem ser editados e é possível converter entre ID3v1.1, ID3v2.3 e ID3v2.4. Letras sincronizadas podem ser editadas, importadas e exportadas para arquivos de karaokê LRC.
As etiquetas de múltiplos arquivos pode ser definidas em conjunto. É possível gerar etiquetas a partir do nome do arquivo ou conteúdo de outros campos da etiqueta e gerar nomes de arquivos e renomear pastas a partir das etiquetas. A conversão automática de maiúsculas e substituição de texto ajudam a manter as etiquetas consistentes.
Os dados de álbuns podem ser importados de gnudb.org, MusicBrainz, Discogs, Amazon; a importação em lotes está disponível para múltiplas pastas. Também é possível exportar dados e gerar listas de reprodução.
O Kid3 utiliza o KDE Frameworks. Usuários de outros ambientes de desktop podem preferir o Kid3-qt, que não possui dependências do KDE.
